New derbi owner....Questions (Help) :D

Ongelezen bericht door Boeki »

Hi, and welcome here.

You really should choose by yourself, I prefer the Pro. About the right placed exhaust, that isn't really a problem, because there are more than enough exhaust who goes straight under the engine (doesn't know the word for it). And beside that, such exhaust look much beter on DRD Pro's in my opinion.

70cc or 80cc? Again, it's something you should find out yourself, what do you want. I would sau, if you tune, do it right, that's why I drive 80cc, haha. (in a few weeks I mean(a))

And uhh. We all expect a lot of pictures when you've bought yours!

Thanks mate! :)

Uhm... I prefer the original-style exhaust and not the lower exhaust (that go under the engine). So I may choose the drd racing one.

Which brand (for cylinder) would you recomend me to get? (airsal, pollini, malossi, etc...)

What's the best way to start tuning my derbi?
And what's the overall cost that I have to pay to tune it right?

Thanks a lot!!

Are u sure? Have you ever seen a DRD Pro with an exhaust that goes uder the engine?

We don't know the way you drive and where your gonna use your Derbi for. For school? (Do they have that in Greece, or have they closed them to pay their debts?) Just for fun? Malossi cilinders are from good quality in general.

In general, you start with changing the exhaust and sprockets. If that doesn't go fast enough for you, you can change cilinder and intake system. After that, there are still more ways to tune, but I think you will not be at that point very soon.

That's what im watching right now :P

Well, I'll be going to school, having fun with friends and stuff like that xD

I see in the Derbi's site that the DRD Pro has a 11 sprocket. So it's slower than the DRD Racing that it has a 14 sprocket?
What will be the top speed after changing exhaust, jet and sprockets?
Thanks!

Edit: I'll be the only one with a derbi here where I live :D

No, DRD Pro isn't faster than a DRD Racing. You can change your sprocket ratio by yourself, stock is an 11 teeth front sprocket.
There are still a lot exhaust systems for the DRD Pro, but there are more for the DRD racing. They are also easier to find used. But if you want a brand new exhaust you won't have any problem finding one for the PRO. (I'm speaking of the situation in Holland, I don't know a thing of the situation in Greece except that Greece has some troubles. :emo: )

Well...I've found these 2 exhausts for DRD pro: http://www.scootershop.gr/index.php?sco ... lter_id=33" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Is that tecnigas good?
But I still think that I should get the DRD Racing because I'll be able to see it and maybe test ride it.
Changing sprockets is easy job? Cause i've never done anything on a moped...

Thanks!

Edit: And one more thing... What sprocket ratio do u think is the best? I mean like 13-53, 14-53 etc... (I want it to go faster :D)

So, I can do it by myself?
Don't I have to adjust the chain or something like that?

Thanks!

make your rear wheel loose, so you can pull it back and forwards.
then do the chain of your front sprocket.
the sprocket is stucked with 2 bolts.
unscrew this bolts and you can take your sprocket of your bike
then take the new sprocket en put it on you bike , screw the bolts on it
do your chain over your sprocket
then screw the 2 bolts at the end rear-axle for regulate your chain.
when your chain is good, just screw your wheel
and make sure that your wheel stands right

sorry iff i use some wrong words

I don't believe you, you're not allowed to drive 120 km/h on the road I guess. :emo:
In Holland our mopeds are not allowed to drive faster thank 45 km/h.
